Ducati

Not everything VW focuses its attention on is derived from four wheels, as two-wheels is just as important to the Wolfsburg-based automotive behemoth.

 

And to emphasise this, Volkswagen snapped up Italian superbike manufacturer, Ducati Motor Holding - and 100% of its assets - in July 2012.

Although this is where lineage becomes a little confusing.

 

Not least because Ducati now falls under the ownership of Lamborghini.

 

Which is of course, now part of parent company, Audi. Which in turn is a vital cog in the much larger VW wheel.
