Cupra

A new automotive division in its own right Cupra was borne out of SEAT, and is now a standalone product which has quickly accumulated a dedicated following. SEAT owns Cupra in its entirety - albeit under the watchful eye of VW - and as a dedicated brand in its own right, effectively represents SEAT’s motorsport division.

Cupra was acquired and invented as an independent concern in 2018, to coincide with the official rebranding of SEAT’s hitherto motorsport division, SEAT Sport.

Which is now known as Cupra Racing for continuity purposes, we’d imagine.

What we do know is that Cupra’s awesome logotype/badge reminds us of a Decepticon robot, straight out of the ‘Transformers’ movie franchise.
